Enforcement Division
IntroductionBoozhoo and welcome to the GLIFWC Enforcement Page. GLIFWC’s Enforcement Division is primarily responsible for monitoring all off-reservation treaty harvest seasons in the ceded territories and enforcing the tribal codes that regulate each season. Our staff of fully certified conservation officers, many who are cross-deputized with the state of Wisconsin, are stationed throughout the ceded territories in north central Minnesota, northern Wisconsin and Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. The scope of our program includes fish and game protection, public safety services, training, and public education/outreach. GLIFWC Enforcement officers are committed to serving GLIFWC’s member tribes and to the protection of their treaty rights and the natural resources on which they depend. Sincerely, |
