Hannah Panci is a scientist in the Climate Change Program. She examines climate change impacts on culturally important beings that GLIFWC member tribes have had relationships with for thousands of years. Her primary projects include climate change adaptation planning for the Ceded Territories, work on the Tribal Adaptation Menu, a plant phenology project, and a seed collection project. All of these projects include input from both Traditional and Scientific Ecological Knowledge. She has a master’s in biology from the University of Minnesota-Duluth, where she studied birds for quite a few years. She is originally from Eagle River, Wisconsin and now lives in Ironwood, Michigan where she moved to find lake effect snow.
