1837 and 1842 Ceded Territories (WI and MN)
- October 1 through March 31
*for bobcat hunting seasons see the "Awesiinyensag" hunting page.
Bands may establish bobcat quotas for both Wisconsin and Minnesota. For most years tribal harvest will fall below the established threshold, and no quota will be established. Information about the thresholds or quotas is available from your Band’s conservation department, registration station, or GLIFWC.
CITES tags are required if the bobcat pelt is to be sold. CITES tags can be obtained from a GLIFWC warden.
Wisconsin 1837 and 1842 Ceded Territories
- The number of bobcats you may harvest is limited to the number of carcass tags you have.
Minnesota 1837 Ceded Territory
- The number of bobcats you may harvest is limited to the number of tags you have.
Registration is required for bobcats. Bobcats must be registered in-person at a tribal registration station or in the field by a GLIFWC or tribal warden by 5:00 pm on the third working day after retrieval. The sex of the animal taken, management unit of harvest, date of harvest, and the harvester's NAGFA ID number must be provided to the registering official. The whole carcass, or the whole skin, must be provided for registration.
