These regulations only apply to the 1836, 1837, and 1842 Ceded Territory National Forests.
Live-tree regulations found on this page apply to live trees that are equal to or larger than five inches (5") DBH (diameter at breast height).
Salvage timber applies to any tree in a Forest Service salvage timber stand, having a diameter of four inches (4") or greater.
No member may harvest any live tree or salvage timber for the purpose of selling all or any part of it, or any product derived from its wood.
Members may only harvest live trees or salvage timber for domestic or non-commercial traditional and cultural purposes subject to the permits as set forth below.
Live Trees - Harvest of more than five (5) trees requires a Tribal Timber Harvest Framework Agreement.
Salvage Timber - Harvest of more than five (5) trees requires a Tribal Timber Harvest Framework Agreement.
